Aaron Cresswell to leave West Ham as Tim Steidten’s replacement plan revealed
West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell will leave the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 34-year-old left-back’s contract at the London Stadium will expire at the end of the season.
His impending exit comes as the Hammers plot six new signings in the summer transfer window, sources told Football Insider on Monday (29 April).
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that technical director Tim Steidten has drawn up a list of targets ahead of the transfer window.
The East London club will focus on home-grown talent as they prepare to lose multiple UK-based players, such as Cresswell.
Long-serving West Ham ace set for summer exit
The left-back has made almost 350 appearances in claret and blue, having joined West Ham from Ipswich Town in 2014.
But given the presence of Brazilian ace Emerson at left-back, Cresswell’s time on the pitch has been limited in recent times.
The 34-year-old has made just 15 appearances in all competitions this season under David Moyes, despite the club having competed in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

The long-serving defender helped the Hammers lift the Europa Conference League trophy last season, while he also earned three England caps during his time in East London.
