Alejandro Garnacho responds to Enzo Fernandez’s message amid Chelsea talks

Alejandro Garnacho has continued to fuel speculation after dropping a reaction on Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez’s latest post.

Chelsea are currently preparing to take part in the Club World Cup, with the competition having kicked off on 15 June.

The Blues ended their season on a high, securing Champions League qualification and lifting the Europa Conference League trophy. Now, their attention turns to adding yet more silverware to the cabinet.

The club have been in the market for a left-sided winger, with Chelsea’s bids for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens turned down, but another potential option may have just hinted at his availability.

Football Insider recently revealed that Garnacho is wants to stay in the Premier League should he depart Manchester United this summer, with Chelsea having previously shown interest in the Argentine.

Now, the United winger has sparked fresh speculation by reacting to a post from Fernandez, potentially a future teammate at Stamford Bridge.

Fernandez gave fans a behind-the-scenes look as Chelsea arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ahead of their Club World Cup campaign by posting images since their arrival on Instagram.

The post was liked by several teammates, including Pedro Neto, Marc Cucurella, and Christopher Nkunku—who has been linked with a potential Chelsea exit.

But it was Garnacho’s interaction that caught attention, as the United winger also liked the post, further fuelling speculation around his future.

Both Chelsea and Napoli explored moves for Garnacho during the January window, but failed to reach an agreement with United, who had already sanctioned loan departures for Marcus Rashford and Antony.

While Garnacho ended the season with 11 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, only six of those goals came in the Premier League, marking an underwhelming campaign by his own standards.

The Blues remain interested in the Argentine winger, with Football Insider revealing in May that Chelsea are preparing a fresh approach for Garnacho, who United are now willing to let go.

His relationship with manager Ruben Amorim reportedly deteriorated throughout the season, with Amorim now understood to have made the decision to move him on.

Football Insider also revealed back in February that Garnacho was already questioning his future at Old Trafford after being denied a move in January, but he may finally get his wish if Chelsea push ahead with their plans.
