Boubacar Kamara sends message to Amadou Onana amid Aston Villa contract latest
Amadou Onana and Boubacar Kamara were pictured on social media as Aston Villa prepare for the 2025/26 campaign at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s side will be heading into next season with the aim of vengeance, having narrowly missed out on Champions League football thanks to a howler from referee Thomas Bramall against Man United.
With a sixth-place finish in the table, the Villans are currently being joined by Nottingham Forest in the Europa League, while Crystal Palace has been demoted to the Europa Conference League.
Amongst all of the very public European drama, those behind the scenes have been working on new deals ahead of the 2025/26 season, including contracts for current players in the squad.
According to The Athletic’s Jacob Tanswell (24 July), Boubacar has put pen to paper on new terms at Villa Park, with an official account expected soon after months of negotiations.
Aston Villa stars jet out to America
Taking to Instagram stories (24 July), Kamara shared a picture with teammate Onana, captioned: “La Crepes,” with laughing and heart emojis, while the squad jetted out to America for pre-season.
The Villans are set to face Eintracht Frankfurt, St Louis City, Nashville, AS Roma, Marseille, and Villarreal, before welcoming Newcastle United to Villa Park on Saturday, 16 August.

Unai Emery to keep key stars at Villa Park
Football Insider verdict
Few major stars have sealed moves away from Villa Park just yet, but multiple first-team players continue to be linked with exits after the failure to secure Champions League qualification.
That has not stopped Villa from signing Marco Bizot from Brest, but with Chelsea and Man United eyeing Emi Martinez, it may have been a vital move for the 34-year-old goalkeeper this summer.
Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Newcastle United would have to pay £100m to sign Ollie Watkins, though Man United have taken a keen interest in the England international.

Alex Moreno, Ezri Konsa, John McGinn, Leon Bailey, Jacob Ramsey, and Morgan Rogers have all been linked with exits, but most moves now would be devastating ahead of the new season.
Everton are considering a move for McGinn, Football Insider understands, but Villa are ready to turn down any offers for the Scotland international, given he is a key part of the squad.
Emery can seriously not afford to lose any of his stars unless they are replaced by equally talented players, or even more talented, if the Villans are to get back into the Champions League.
