Danny Rohl’s odds of becoming Man United manager revealed after latest twist

Manchester United are expected to be on the hunt for a new manager in the summer.

While Michael Carrick has been appointed at Old Trafford until the end of the season, Football Insider recently revealed that Champions League football would need to be secured for him to get the role full-time.

As a result, the Red Devils are likely to be searching for their first permanent coach since Ruben Amorim was sacked in January.

Many managers have been linked to the current vacancy, including Rangers boss Danny Rohl.

Bookies take odds on Danny Rohl becoming next Man United manager

Rohl has done an excellent job at Rangers since he took over the Glasgow club in October.

The Gers’ campaign looked to be over when Russell Martin departed, with the Old Firm side in a mess.

However, the ex-Sheffield Wednesday manager has now ensured that they have quickly recovered, with Rangers finding themselves back in the title race.

As a result, many clubs have taken notice of Rohl’s success at Ibrox, with the bookies now considering him a possible candidate for the Man United job.

However, a move from Rangers to the Red Devils is still deemed as unlikely, with Rohl 100/1 to take the Man United job next.

Who is the current favourite for the Man United job?

As it stands, Oliver Glasner is the favourite to be in the Man United dugout for the start of the 2026-27 campaign at 6/5.

The Crystal Palace manager has confirmed that he will leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season after lifting the FA Cup and Community Shield during his time in charge.

Carrick is also considered a favourite to take on the job full-time at 9/2.

The former Middlesbrough boss has overseen a wonderful start at Old Trafford, with the coach masterminding a 2-0 win over Man City on the weekend.

Gareth Southgate remains linked with the post at Old Trafford at 6/1, while current England boss Thomas Tuchel is not ruled out at 10/1.

A potential outsider is Julian Nagelsmann at 14/1.

The former RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich manager is currently in charge of the German National Team.

However, it remains to be seen if he will stop managing his country after the 2026 World Cup and decide to quickly return to domestic football.
