Ferencvaros vs Rangers postponement latest as ‘significant’ weather warning issued in Central Hungary
Rangers’ Europa League clash against Ferencvaros could be under threat due to a warning of dense fog that covers the Hungarian capital of Budapest.
Despite some improved league form, Danny Rohl is yet to get the best out of his Rangers squad in the Europa League since taking charge in October.
The Gers are yet to win a game in the competition this season, from five played, and so are in desperate need of three points against Ferencvaros on Thursday (11 December) evening.
They will be in good spirits after a recent run of six games unbeaten which continued as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-0 last time out through goals from Bojan Miovski and Mikey Moore.
A tough test awaits, with Ferencvaros yet to lose in the Europa League so far this term, but the clash could be over before it has even begun due to the latest weather warnings in central Hungary.

Fog warning covers Budapest ahead of Ferencvaros vs Rangers clash
Many Rangers away fans will be no strangers to supporting their team in adverse conditions, but Thursday’s clash could be affected in a way they have never seen before.
Ferencvaros play at the Groupama Arena in the south-east district of Hungary’s capital, Budapest, and Meteoalarm has revealed a yellow weather warning for fog over that area of the country from 8:30am on Thursday to 11pm on Friday evening.
It is believed that the “dense fog affecting significant areas of the country” could cause some airports to close for short periods, while journeys through affected areas may take longer than usual, so Gers supporters must be wary of potential issues they could face getting to the stadium.
Their last away outing in the Europa League ended in a 3-0 defeat to Brann in Rohl’s first game in charge, so fans will simply hope that the game goes ahead and such a result can be improved on against Ferencvaros.
Rangers will be buoyed by Mikey Moore latest
One man who could be key to a Gers win in Budapest is Tottenham loanee Moore, who joined for the season in the summer window but has only just started to settle after a tough first few months in Glasgow.
The 18-year-old did not score in his first 16 Rangers appearances, but has netted two in his last two games against Dundee and Kilmarnock after a four-week injury layoff in-between the matches.

Football Insider revealed on Thursday that Tottenham are set to allow Moore to see out the season at Rangers despite previous rumours around a possible January exit.
Moore was not handed regular chances under Russell Martin in the early stages of his loan spell, but Spurs believe that his situation has dramatically improved of late under Rohl, and he will be looking to score his first European goal for the club to fire them to a win against Ferencvaros.
