Henry Winter wowed by ‘great’ Patrick Bamford update before Leeds v Bristol City
Patrick Bamford has impressed journalist Henry Winter with a “great gesture” ahead of Leeds’ match against Bristol City.
Promotion may be guaranteed, but with the Championship title on the line, the Whites will be keen to dispatch of promotion-hopefuls City.
Many of the players featuring against the Robins will be conscious that, ahead of a busy transfer window for Leeds, they are essentially auditioning for a place in the team next year.
The same also applies for the man in charge, with Leeds reportedly looking at replacing Daniel Farke, with concerns over his Premier League track-record.

Patrick Bamford shows appreciation for Leeds fans
In a show of appreciation for the supporters who have stuck by Leeds since their relegation in 2023, Bamford put £5,000 behind the bar for the Whites’ fans.
Whilst the striker has endured a miserable season for the Whites, failing to score for the club at all in the league, he retains a good relationship with the clubs’ supporters.
Bamford may well leave Leeds this summer, but he is likely to be remembered fondly, with Winter calling his donation to the fans’ celebration a “great gesture”.
Leeds look to revamp squad ahead of Premier League return
Football Insider Verdict
With a return to England’s top-flight now secured, following two seasons in the Championship, Leeds face the unenviable task of revamping their squad.
Having cruised to promotion, aside from their brief stutter a few weeks ago, the Whites have a strong core and have scored for fun this season.
Junior Firpo looks a man reborn, after a difficult introduction to English football, whilst Ao Tanaka and Dan James have thrived for Farke’s side.

However, question marks remain at both ends of the pitch, with Illan Meslier looking likely to leave after a series of high-profile errors, and there being doubts around Joel Piroe‘s ability to translate his goal-scoring form to the Premier League.
Whether it’s Farke, Jose Mourinho or somebody else entirely in charge at Elland Road next season, they will need heavy investment to have any chance of retaining their top-flight status come this time next year.
