Aston Villa fans believe Jhon Duran could force a move out of the club following the latest decision by manager Unai Emery.
The striker was the subject of plenty of speculation in the summer transfer window, expressing his desire to leave having at one point been the subject of interest from the likes of West Ham and Chelsea.
Earlier this week it emerged that the Hammers have made another bid for the Colombian that was expected to be rejected as they look to strengthen their attacking options in the January transfer window.
Now some Aston Villa fans fear Duran could look to secure that move following the latest team news to emerge from the club.
Jhon Duran misses out for Aston Villa vs Monaco to leave fans worried
On Tuesday night, Emery’s side made the trip to Monaco in the latest match of their Champions League campaign.
In naming his starting lineup for the match, Emery selected Ollie Watkins at centre-forward, forcing Duran to settle for a place on the Aston Villa bench.
That means the 21-year-old has now failed to start in each of the last three games since returning from suspension.
As a result of that lack of game time some Aston Villa fans suggested Duran will look to leave the club amid that interest from West Ham in search of more opportunities.
There was even a suggestion the 21-year-old could become a “nightmare” for the club amid his lack of game time and rumours of a move away.
