‘Leicester eye Liam Manning from Bristol City after Ruud van Nistelrooy sack’
Leicester City look to be edging towards a decision over the future of manager Ruud van Nistelrooy following relegation from the Premier League.
After claiming the Championship title last season, it has been a dismal return to the top-flight of English football for the Foxes this time round.
The club’s immediate relegation back to the second-tier has already been confirmed for over two weeks, and came amod a backdrop of fan anger.
After he took charge at the King Power Stadium back in December last year, there are already questions about Ruud van Nistelrooy’s position as Leicester manager.
Now it appears as though the Foxes’ board have made their call over whether or not to keep the Dutchman in charge.

Liam Manning eyed to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy
Van Nistelrooy has struggled during his time in charge of the club, claiming just 11 points from his 22 league games with the club.
Prior to Leicester beating the only side below them in the division in Southampton 2-0 on Saturday (3 May), they had also endured a run of nine straight home defeats without scoring a goal.
As a result, journalist Ben Jacobs has now reported that there is a growing expectation Van Nistelrooy is set to leave the club.

If that does indeed prove to be the case, then Bristol City manager Liam Manning is among the names thought to be in consideration to take over the role.
Manning has done a remarkable job at Ashton Gate this season, guiding them to a sixth place finish in the Championship table.
His side are now set to host Sheffield United in the first leg of their play-off semi final on Thursday night (8 May).
Leicester City manager call is sensible
Football Insider Verdict
There had been an expectation that others would follow legendary striker Jamie Vardy out of Leicester at the end of this season.
It is now no real surprise to see that Van Nistelrooy is among those who looks set to depart the King Power Stadium.
Ultimately, he has simply not done enough to keep his job, with the Foxes arguably even regressing under his management.
With that in mind, it could be even harder than it already could be for Leicester to keep the fanbase on side heading into the new campaign.
Given his success in the Championship with Bristol City this season, Manning could be a good appointment for the Foxes as they look to bounce back next time around.
Longer-term though, his lack of experience managing in the Premier League may be a concern for Leicester as they no doubt target a return to that level.
