Liverpool fans say the same thing about Wataru Endo starting as new stats emerge
Liverpool fans have urged Arne Slot to give Wataru Endo more game time as the club heads into the business end of the season.
The 32-year-old has been a squad player under Slot, having only appeared 11 times in the Premier League this season.
All of Endo’s Premier League appearances have come via the bench, but supporters were impressed with his efforts in helping Liverpool hold onto their lead against Wolves on Sunday (16 February).
The Reds won the game 2-1, but the Midlands giants put a lot of pressure on them during the second half after Matheus Cunha’s goal.
The Japan international was brought on to help sure things up defensively as he provided a tidy performance by being 100 percent accurate with his passes.

Wataru Endo overlooked in favour of Ryan Gravenberch
Endo also made three defensive actions and won 60 percent of his ground duels as he worked hard to keep Wolves as quiet as possible.
Endo joined the Premier League giants in August 2023 and since then he’s made 64 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Football Insider revealed in November that Liverpool could have accepted an offer for the midfielder in the January transfer window, but the outcast ended up remaining at the club.
Slot isn’t relying on him as often as Jurgen Klopp did, due to Ryan Gravenberch’s stunning transformation into an A-list number six, but that’s something that Liverpool fans would like to see change.
Fans want Wataru Endo to feature more
Endo’s future at Anfield might be unclear, but supporters have been noticing the hard work he’s putting in with his limited minutes.
Fans stated that what he does “will not go unnoticed” as others pushed Slot to give him “more minutes in this last stretch” to help keep Liverpool defensively from the midfield.
