Liverpool told to sign Wolves star to replace Klopp untouchable – fans wowed

Liverpool supporters have urged the club to consider signing Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri as a replacement for Andy Robertson.

The Anfield faithful got an up-hand experience of what the 23-year-old is capable of on Sunday (16 February) when they played the Midlands giants.

Arne Slot’s men came out on top with a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, as they held on despite a late scare from Matheus Cunha’s second-half goal.

The Reds stood up against the test that Wolves provided in the second half and picked up another important three points in the title race.

Liverpool remain top of the Premier League and boast a seven-point gap over their closest challengers, Arsenal.

Slot’s side are now set for a big week as they face Aston Villa on Wednesday (19 February) before playing Man City on Sunday (23 February).

Andy Robertson’s days at Liverpool could be numbered

The Scotland international was a virtual ever-present in the Liverpool team under Jurgen Klopp, being a key part of his success.

However, Robertson has struggled this season and that has resulted in Slot using him less frequently than in previous seasons.

Industry insider Mick Brown has previously informed Football Insider that Liverpool are keeping tabs on other full-backs as potential replacements for Robertson as the club want a “like-for-like” replacement.

Liverpool supporters have identified Ait-Nouri as an ideal replacement for Robertson moving forward, claiming signing him would be a “no-brainer.”

The 23-year-old has made 24 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists which has put plenty of attention on him.
