‘Man United eye quick exit as Marcus Rashford made top target by two giants’
Man United are trying to offload Marcus Rashford as soon as possible with two European powerhouses having placed him at the top of their transfer wishlist this summer.
Rashford spent the second-half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after a fallout with United boss Ruben Amorim led him to depart Old Trafford for the first time in his career.
He impressed in his short stint at Villa Park, with four goals and six assists in 17 appearances in all competitions, but looks to have no long-term United future despite their struggles under Amorim.
Barcelona have previously led the chase for the Red Devils man’s signature, while former United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 7 July that Rashford looks increasingly likely to move to the Catalan giants on loan this summer, with the forward preferring said switch over any other.
Football Insider revealed on 9 July that Rashford’s exit saga could drag into the latter stages of the window, though, and a new club has now seemingly entered the running for his signature.

Juventus and Barcelona make Rashford their top target
The Sun (Friday, 11 July) have reported that Serie A giants Juventus have made Rashford their number one summer target, and are accelerating plans to try and sign him quickly as he is seen as a key part of their rebuild to try and challenge Napoli for the title next season.
They also state that Barcelona have made Rashford their main target too, despite recent reports that the La Liga champions are set to make a move for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz alongside the United outcast.
United chiefs are reportedly keen to resolve his future as soon as possible, after Rashford was given extra time away from the Red Devils’ Carrington base, then told to train away from the first-team players while he seeks an exit.

Football Insider verdict
The last few years of Rashford’s career have certainly not gone to plan, but his spell at Villa saw him back playing near his best at times in a much more settled and less pressure-driven environment compared to that of United.
There looks to be no way back for him at Old Trafford, and Football Insider have previously revealed that club chiefs would be open to letting him leave on loan if a suitable bid does not come their way, while The Athletic have also reported that Rashford is also open to leaving as part of a swap deal if suitable opportunities arise.

The 27-year-old is also believed to favour a move to a team that is competing for titles, so while Juventus would be a decent move for him right now, joining Barca would be a seemingly perfect fit.
He needs a stellar season to thrust himself back into Thomas Tuchel’s England plans ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and to simply get his career back on track after a tough few years both on and off the pitch.
