Max O’Leary superb, Nakhi Wells awful – Bristol City ratings in loss vs Leeds
Nakhi Wells was invisible for Bristol City as Max O’Leary’s work in goal couldn’t prevent his side slipping to a 4-0 loss against Leeds on Monday night.
Goals from Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto, and a double from Largie Ramazani gave the Whites a comfortable win on 28 April as they creep closer to the Championship title.
The result was a concerning one for the Robins, whose own promotions hopes took a blow.
With just one point separating them from seventh-placed Millwall, Liam Manning’s side will need a win against Preston on the final day of the season to guarantee a play in the playoffs.

Max O’Leary – 8 – Player of the Match
A heroic performance from the Irish shot-stopper who was desperately unfortunate to concede four times.
Zak Vyner – 5
Strong tackling undermined by poor distribution, struggled against the in-form Manor Solomon.
Rob Dickie – 5
At the heart of the action for much of the game, Dickie struggled to deal with the pace and movement of Leeds’ attackers.

Rob Dickie struggles to deal with Leeds energetic attack
Haydon Roberts – 6
Composed on the ball but could have done better for Tanaka’s opener.
George Tanner – 4
Found it difficult to keep pace with the flow of the game and the occasion seemed to get the better of him.
Ross McCrorie (off for Bell 74′) – 6
Consistently won his duels on the left-hand side, but his end-product was disappointingly wayward.
Marcus McGuane – 7
Made every pass he attempted and did well to contain Ilia Gruev and Tanaka.

George Earthy puts in admirable performance for the Robins
Jason Knight – 7
A good showing in difficult circumstances for the Irish midfielder, progressed the ball forward to his attackers regularly.
Max Bird (off for Mehmeti 59′) – 4
Poor showing from the 24-year-old as Junior Firpo completely dominated the one-v-one match-up between the two.
George Earthy (off for Twine 74′) – 5
Put himself about well and the match will be a good learning experience for the young and talented winger, but his end product was not up to the level required.
Nakhi Wells (off for Armstrong 59′) – 1
Absent. Completely absent. To the point that Manning had no choice but to remove his striker in the second-half.
Substitutes
Anis Mehmeti (on for Bird 59′) – 4
12 touches in half an hour of football is indicative of the Albanian’s struggles to get involved after his introduction from the bench.
Sinclair Armstrong (on for Wells 59′) – 4
The mercurial Irishman was completely incapable of finding the ball and had no impact off the bench.
Samuel Bell (on for McCrorie 74′) – 5
Full of energy but by the time he was introduced, Leeds were greedily keeping the ball and in the mood to give it back.
Scott Twine (on for Earthy 74′) – 5
The well-liked Twine is a talent on the ball but with his side down and out, the creator had little to work with.
