Tottenham target Antoine Semenyo sends message with summer exit confirmed
Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo has delivered a message amid transfer interest from Thomas Frank’s Tottenham.
Frank is keen to reshape the Spurs squad he inherited from Ange Postecoglou after the North Londoners finished just 17th in the Premier League last term.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have eyed a move for Semenyo, who scored 11 goals and produced five assists in 37 league appearances last season.
The 25-year-old has proven his worth for the Dorset club, and could play Champions League football next season if he joins Spurs.

Semenyo responds as Bristol City make major Nahki Wells announcement
Before joining Bournemouth in 2023, Semenyo rose through the academy ranks at Bristol City before becoming a first-team star at Ashton Gate.
Meanwhile, the Championship club confirmed the departure of Semenyo’s former teammate Nahki Wells on Monday, 23 June.
Posting on Instagram, Bristol City’s official club account wrote: “We can confirm that Nahki Wells will leave the club following the conclusion of his contract at the end of June.
“Wells departs after five-and-half years in the West Country where he scored 48 times in 237 appearances across all competitions.
“A popular character in the dressing room and in the stands, the Bermudian forward will be fondly remembered by all at Ashton Gate.
“Wells scored on his full debut in a 3-2 win over Derby County in February 2020, and remained a consistent figure as City recorded four consecutive improved league finishes during his time here.
“Wells’ experience in a young side this season was vital as Bristol City secured a top six finish in the Sky Bet Championship for the first time since 2008, scoring 10 goals in the process.
“Wells was also named the club’s PFA Community Champion in May 2025, nominated by the Robins Foundation for his contributions to the local community.
“From donating Christmas presents to young people in need at the Foundation’s free holiday camps, to making local children feel at home on visits to the Robins High Performance Centre; Wells also co-ordinated donations of clothes and signed boots from the men’s first team, raising vital funds for the Robins Foundation.”
Semenyo commented: “My goat man.”
Semenyo could be ideal Bryan Mbeumo alternative for Tottenham
Alongside their interest in Semenyo, Tottenham are in the race to sign Bryan Mbeumo, along with Manchester United.

Goals | 11 |
Assists | 5 |
A move to Spurs would see Mbeumo reunited with former Brentford boss Frank, who got the best out of the Cameroon international, who shone for the Bees last term, scoring 20 goals.
However, football finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider that Man United are in the driving seat for Mbeumo and can beat Spurs to his signature.
After securing Champions League qualification via their Europa League triumph over the Red Devils last month, Tottenham must strengthen their ranks.
Therefore, missing out on Mbeumo could prove to be a blow for Frank’s men, but Semenyo presents himself as an ideal alternative to the Cameroon international.
After notching double figures for Bournemouth last term, the former Bristol City man could shine in Tottenham colours alongside ex-Cherries teammate Dominic Solanke.
Meanwhile, Ashley Phillips has been tipped to push for a Spurs exit in a Tottenham News exclusive.
