Tottenham fans react after major Ange Postecoglou announcement: ‘Absolute disgrace’
Ange Postecoglou’s future as Tottenham manager has been uncertain for some time, and Spurs supporters have reacted after the club finally announced their decision.
Postecoglou led the North London club to their first major trophy since 2008, beating Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final.
However, apart from European success, Spurs had a woeful season, finishing a lowly 17th in the Premier League, while picking up just 38 points.
Tottenham won just one of their final 12 league games of the campaign, as Postecoglou abandoned domestic form to direct full focus towards winning a trophy.

Postecoglou gets the sack
On Sunday (1 June), Football Insider exclusively revealed that Postecoglou had been sacked by Tottenham, despite winning Spurs their first trophy in 17 years.
Over the past week, it is believed that Daniel Levy has already been sounding out a potential replacement for the Australian.
Tottenham are interested in Brentford boss Thomas Frank, as well as Fulham manager Marco Silva.
The North London club officially confirmed the news on Friday (6 June) afternoon, releasing a statement to announce the decision, saying: “Following a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties.”
Spurs thanked Postecoglou for his commitment and contribution during his two years in charge of the club, but noted that they want to be able to compete on multiple fronts in the future.
Tottenham fans furious with Levy
Unsurprisingly, the sacking of Postecoglou has been met with fury by the vast majority of Tottenham supporters, with fans confused at the decision to remove the man who brought success back to North London.
The Spurs faithful were already fuming at Levy for taking so long over the decision, and potentially causing the club to miss out on opportunities in the transfer market.
One supporter in particular labelled the sacking an “absolute disgrace”, while other fans called on Levy to walk himself, blaming the 62-year-old for the situation.
