Tyrick Mitchell dismal as Marc Guehi superb – Crystal Palace ratings vs Everton
Crystal Palace lost to Everton despite dominating large parts of the game in a 2-1 loss at Selhurt Park.
Jefferson Lerma had the ball in the back of the net in the 19th minute, heading home from a corner, but the ball was deemed to have gone out after being taken, before coming back into play.
Ismaila Sarr should have given the Eagles the lead in the 41st minute, after Jean-Philippe Mateta poked a pass in his direction, but the former Watford man was unable to find the back of the net.
Beto was clinical, as Everton counter-attacked through Carlos Alcaraz, and the Argentine midfielder picked out his striker to give the Toffees the lead.
Just after half-time, the Toffee’s failed to clear their lines, and Mateta capitalised to poke past Jordan Pickford to level affairs.
Alcaraz gave Everton the lead in the 80th minute, connecting to a blocked shot from Ashley Young, to score in his first Premier League start for the Toffees.
