Harrison Burrows stuns, Tyrese Campbell flops – Sheffield United ratings vs Bristol

Harrison Burrows put in a stunning performance in Sheffield United’s comfortable 3-0 win over Bristol City.

The Blades put themselves in a strong position to make it to the playoff final, thanks to goals from their left-back, Andre Brooks, and rather fortuitously, Callum O’Hare.

Sheffield United were somewhat fortunate to earn a penalty, and even more so to see their opponents reduced to ten men just before the break.

However, Chris Wilder‘s men were always in control and both the win and the score-line were richly deserved.

Sheffield United
Chris Wilder will have been delighted to win the first leg with ease.

Sheffield United set sights on playoff final with easy win

Michael Cooper – 6

Cooper made one save, and he did it well. A bystander for much of the match.

Hamza Choudhury – 7

Choudhury joined Sheffield United on loan in January and, playing out of position, the Bangladesh international defended well.

Jack Robinson (off for Holding 80′) – 7

Little to do for much of the game but looked calm and in control when his side needed him.

Anel Ahmedhodzic puts in composed performance for Sheffield United

Anel Ahmedhodzic – 7

Sheffield United were reluctant to sell Ahmedhodzic in the summer, and the Bosnian defender has proven himself to be one of the Championship’s best. Another fine performance.

Harrison Burrows – 9 – Player of the Match

A goal and an assist from the best player pitch. Dominated the left-hand side.

Rhian Brewster (off for Brooks 67′) – 6

Tidy in possession but looked tentative in possession before being replaced.

Vinicius Souza – 8

Battled hard and battled often. The Brazilian took risks with his passing and was rewarded more often than not. Unfortunate not to score, when his effort came off O’Hare before going in.

Sydie Peck (off for O’Hare 67′) – 5

Middling performance from the man in the middle of the park, Peck looked hesitant after receiving his booking and fluffed his chance to score in the first-half.

Gustavo Hamer puts on a show vs Bristol City

Gustavo Hamer (off for McCallum 85′) – 8

Everton want to sign Hamer, Peter O’Rourke exclusively revealed to Football Insider, but United should throw the bank at their talented midfield maestro if he can produce more performances like these.

Tyrese Campbell (off for Davies 67′) – 4

After having a goal chalked off for an offside, the former Stoke man faded from the action and was replaced in the second half.

Kieffer Moore7

Moore joined Sheffield United from Bournemouth in the summer, and the Welsh striker won a penalty that proved decisive, as Dickie was also sent off.

Substitutes

Andre Brooks (on for Brewster 67′) – 8

Brooks came off the bench to score his sides second, injected life into what was a relatively stale affair up to that point.

Callum O’Hare (on for Peck 67′) – 7

He knew little about his goal, with it pinging off of him from a Souza effort, but a goal’s a goal, and he will have been delighted to score.

Tom Davies (on for Campbell 67′) – 6

Whilst he might not have scored, Davies was still a strong addition from the bench.

Rob Holding (on for Robinson 80′) – 6

The former Arsenal man replaced an injured Robinson and did well in his cameo on the pitch.

Sam McCallum (on for Hamer 85′) – 6

Added defensive solidity to protect the three-goal lead.
