Reliable journalist: FA make emphatic decision over Tottenham player antics v Burnley

The FA have emphatically decided to not charge Dele Alli for his antics in Tottenham’s win against Burnley on Saturday, according to a reliable journalist.

Mirror reporter David Anderson claimed on his personal Twitter account that Alli, 21, will avoid any sanction for his role in winning Spurs a penalty in the first-half, which resulted in Harry Kane opening the scoring in a 3-0 win at Turf Moor.

Alli was rounded booed by the Burnley supporters, many of which feel that the England international conned the referee into believing he was fouled by Kevin Long.

Moments before, Alli was perhaps lucky to have avoided a red card for a lunge on Charlie Taylor, for which the referee awarded him his third yellow card of the season.

Alli’s hot-headedness has caused problems in the past and over the last few days he has found himself at the centre of controversy again when he lunged at Kevin de Bruyne against Manchester City.

The former MK Dons player has been a star player for Spurs in the past few seasons but many have criticised him for not reaching the level of last term in this campaign.

He has made 23 appearances across all competitions and still appearances to be in Mauricio Pochettino’s main plans with seven goals and eight assists to his name.
