‘Just sack him’ – Chelsea fans destroy Liam Rosenior over ‘nonsense’ Robert Sanchez claim
Liam Rosenior has rubbed some Chelsea supporters up the wrong way after speaking out about the situation involving Robert Sanchez.
The Blues’ first-choice goalkeeper was dropped for Filip Jorgensen for the 5-2 defeat to PSG on Wednesday, 11 March, a decision which raised eyebrows at the Parc des Princes.
Rosenior’s switching of shot-stoppers has really confused those at Stamford Bridge, though Peter Schmeichel has now revealed that Jorgensen is supposedly the manager’s preferred starter.
Chelsea require major reinforcements if they want to challenge for titles next season, and at the top of that list should be a brand-new goalkeeper. Rosenior doesn’t seem to think so, though.

Ahead of Newcastle United, Rosenior appears to believe that Sanchez is “one of the best goalkeepers in the league,” despite what supporters have to say on that. Social media seems to have exploded.
One supporter has already said that “this nonsense will cost him his job,” while another has stated that Rosenior “lets himself down” with comments about the goalkeeper situation.
Many supporters are struggling to believe that Rosenior really means what he’s saying about Sanchez. Some have heard enough and are already asking for the manager to be sacked.
- @Daniel_Evans56: “Sanchez is one of the best GKs in the league, yet you bench him against PSG? Not sure how you expect us to believe you?”
- @sinobillions7: “Useless coach with no clue. We need y’all out of this precious club before you sink us into the mud. Blueco out of this club for good plz.”
- @Harry1551303: “Just sack him already.”
Chelsea goalkeeper could be replaced by Robin Roefs
The Blues have been linked with multiple goalkeepers, even since last summer, with the Blues failing in their bid to sign AC Milan’s Mike Maignan due to a disagreement over his valuation.
Now, Football Insider understands that Chelsea are accelerating a deal for Robin Roefs following a stunning first season at Sunderland, keeping eight clean sheets in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has already proven to be a top talent in the top tier of English football, though there are more experienced heads that could claim Rosenior’s attention ahead of the summer.
In addition to Roefs, Mike Penders is set to return from his season-long loan at Strasbourg, and having formed a relationship with the current boss, he could become a key figure next season.
Whatever happens in the summer, Chelsea fans are adamant that Sanchez should be nowhere to be seen.
