‘Liam Delap to Newcastle’ – fans react to signing ‘Callum Wilson replacement’
Newcastle United are aiming to secure Champions League football on a regular basis, and they are already looking ahead to the summer transfer window to try and strengthen their squad.
The Magpies will be focused on trying to retain as many of their players as possible in the upcoming transfer window, with their attack set to be raided by rivals.

Eddie Howe is also expected to lose Callum Wilson at the end of the season when his contract expires, with the Premier League giants unlikely to retain his services after an injury-plagued spell at St James’ Park.
That is why Newcastle are already turning their attention to signing a new striker ahead of next season, and industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider they are plotting a big-money move for Ipswich’s Liam Delap.
Newcastle have sent scouts to track Delap’s progress this season, with the 22-year-old high on Howe’s list of options.
Liam Delap is wanted by Man City and Man United
The former Man City star has caught the attention of several top teams in the Premier League this season due to his high-quality performances in a struggling side.
Football Insider revealed back in February that both Man United and Chelsea want to sign Delap, with the player said to be “desperate” to remain in the Premier League next season.

The Tractor Boys are currently 18th in the Premier League with six points between them and safety, which could lead to a transfer being Delap’s only way to remain in the top flight.
