Marcos Senesi transfer: Agent spotted in stands as Newcastle and Aston Villa race for deal
Newcastle United and Aston Villa are both significant players in the race to sign AFC Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi this summer.
The centre-back is set to leave the Vitality Stadium upon the expiry of his contract, and is already one of the most coveted free agents on the market for the upcoming summer transfer window.
A whole host of Premier League clubs are chasing a deal to sign the 28-year-old, while there is also significant interest from some of the top clubs in the Italian Serie A.
Newcastle’s transfer plans are set to see them target a new centre-back this summer, and they are now preparing to battle the likes of Villa and Tottenham in order to get a deal over the line.

Senesi looks set to have a huge array of options available to him when it comes to deciding on his next club, given that no transfer fee will be needed to secure his signature.
A huge race is already developing to land the Argentine ahead of next season, while his agents will be hard at work trying to secure the best possible deal for them and their client.
Senesi is currently represented by the ROOF agency, and it has now been revealed that a member of his entourage was present in the stands for Juventus’ 4-0 win over Pisa last weekend, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
That is understood to be a clear sign that the Old Lady are serious about their desire to pursue a move for the former Feyenoord man.
The reports suggest that Juventus are battling Roma to secure his services in Italy, while Barcelona have also expressed an interest in signing him.

Aston Villa are noted as another clear contender, but that is far from the full extent of the Premier League interest.
Newcastle backed to win Senesi race
Former Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that he is backing Newcastle to win the race for Senesi this summer, instead of his former club.
The Magpies are keen to add to the centre of their defence ahead of next term, and Wyness believes that the Bournemouth man would be an ideal partner for the impressive Malick Thiaw.
The Scottish businessman acknowledged that the significant level of competition will not make it easy for the North East outfit to strike a deal, but he feels that it would be a good fit for all concerned.
It is now inevitable that Bournemouth will lose their star defender at the end of next season, and his availability looks set to spark one of the biggest transfer battles of the summer.
