Nottingham Forest fans explode at Omari Hutchinson after ‘arrogant’ revelation: ‘Did I hear that right?’
Nottingham Forest fans are at the end of their tether with Omari Hutchinson after their latest defeat in the Europa League.
The Reds were beaten 1-0 by Midtjylland on home turf on Thursday night, when Cho Gue-Sung’s 80th-minute header consigned Vitor Pereira’s side to a dismal defeat at a staggeringly wet City Ground.
The East Midlands outfit now travel to Denmark for next week’s second leg knowing that they must win by at least two clear goals in order to progress into the quarter finals and keep their European dream alive.
Forest’s latest defeat prompted plenty of frustration from the supporters, and much of it was directed towards Hutchinson after an eye-catching post-match reveal.

VISIT THE FOREST MATCH HUBOmari Hutchinson torn apart for post-match interview
Hutchinson has struggled for form at Forest since he joined from Ipswich Town for a fee of £37.5million last summer, and he was part of another toothless display from his team on Thursday.
Forest fired 22 shots at the visitors’ goal, only to be shut out at the City Ground for the third time in their last four home games in all competitions.
However, despite the frustrating performance in front of goal, much of the annoyance has stemmed from a striking revelation from Hutchinson during his post-match interview with TNT Sports.
The winger suggested that he couldn’t see clearly because his “face cream” was “coming down” his face amid the driving rain in Nottingham, and supporters have wasted no time in ripping into him.
Fans have taken to X to aim their digs at the 22-year-old, who they feel has left a lot to be desired in terms of his displays this term.
One fan questioned whether he had heard that right, while another labelled him as “Midtjylland’s best defender” for the role that he played in the game.
Several supporters also questioned why the club’s most expensive ever signing was making such excuses after a disappointing result.
He was also labelled as “arrogant,” while another supporter called him an “awful footballer.”
- @d_p_ball: “Ipswich had our pants down.”
- @freybontos: “Stick to padel you arrogant little sausage.”
- @NFFC_1090: “Omari take a touch Hutchinson has shown tonight why he didn’t get picked in the group stage squad, awful footballer.”
Hutchinson could be part of mass Nottingham Forest exodus
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Forest will be forced into selling players this summer if they are relegated.
Pereira’s side are currently outside the relegation zone on just goal difference alone at the moment, with significant interest ongoing in stars like Elliot Anderson and Murillo.
Hutchinson only joined the club last summer, but he could be another player who has his head turned elsewhere if Forest drop back into the Championship, as he will surely want to be playing in the Premier League.
The move simply hasn’t worked out for him by any means so far, and it has become increasingly clear in recent weeks that the fans are desperate to see the back of him.
