‘I was sat behind Enzo Maresca in the Chelsea dugout and was stunned by what he did’
Chelsea pushed back into the top four in the Premier League this past weekend, but Enzo Maresca’s tactics are starting to grate on the supporters.
The Blues narrowly scraped past Leicester City with a 1-0 win after Marc Cucurella scored the only goal of the game to give his team a crucial three points.

The victory allowed Chelsea to leapfrog Man City in the table into fourth place while also putting Nottingham Forest under significant pressure.
It was a game where Chelsea could have had more goals as Cole Palmer missed a penalty in the first half, while fans felt they should have had another after Pedro Neto was fouled later in the game.
Former FIFA official Keith Hackett exclusively told Football Insider that he was “surprised” not to see that particular foul lead to a Chelsea penalty.
Chelsea managed to get over the line either way, but fans did start to show signs of being disgruntled with how the team performed.

Enzo Maresca revealed he will substitute players for not following orders
Many fans at Stamford Bridge booed Enzo Fernandez and were vocally frustrated when he opted to pass backwards, which is something Maresca reflected on during his post-match press conference.
He said, “Fernandez knows if he doesn’t pass back I will change him. If [the] keeper plays long, I will change him.”
Maresca was clear about the demands he sets on his players and what he wants them to do on the pitch, even if that’s at the expense of attacking free-flowing football.

Chelsea fans tear into Enzo Maresca
Chelsea fans were left feeling frustrated by Maresca’s comments as they claimed that their “lethargic” style of play is coming from the manager directly.
Supporters admitted they “can’t stand” Maresca and believe that his style of play is “making us struggle.”
