Industry insider Mick Brown revealed that West Ham were looking at potential centre-back signings in the January transfer window, and that’s something that is set to continue on into the summer.

According to The Sun, the Hammers have identified Southampton’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis as a potential target for the upcoming transfer window.

It is believed the England international will be available to buy in the summer if Southampton get relegated as they will be looking to balance the books.

West Ham have struggled defensively this season

The Hammers have conceded 47 goals in 26 Premier League matches so far this season, which is why the club are looking to identify defensive signings for Potter.

Only four teams have conceded more goals in the Premier League throughout this campaign, and all of those teams sit below them in the table currently.

Harwood-Bellis is being viewed as someone who could help sure up the defensive line at the London Stadium, with £15million being the reported fee.
