'Absolute joy to watch' - Celtic fans lose their minds over mainstay display v St Johnstone

By James Black

Celtic sensation Kieran Tierney turned in another top performance for the Hoops in their 4-0 win over St. Johnstone on Saturday – and fans on Twitter have lost their minds with joy at his form.

The left-back impressed again with another attacking display as the Scottish champions extended their unbeaten domestic run to 63 games and smashed a 100-year-old British record.

Tierney recently signed a new six-year contract to tie him to the Scottish champions until 2023 and Hoops fans are dreaming of how many titles the boyhood Celtic fan can wrap up by then.

The Parkhead mainstay is a real favourite with the Bhoys’ fans – likely because he grew up one himself – and is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Hoops fans though are happy to dream of the left-back continuing to lift trophy after trophy in green and white.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Tierney has been a revelation since making the breakthrough under former Celtic boss Ronny Deila and has gone from strength to strength under Brendan Rodgers.

The Isle of Man-born defender has also forced his way into the national set-up as a right-back with Liverpool’s Andy Robertson on the left.

In other Celtic news, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his transfer plans for the January window.
