Szczesny joined the Arsenal academy in 2006 and eventually broke in the first-team in 2008 where he then continued on to make a total of 181 appearances across all competitions.
However, the Polish keeper has not featured in the Arsenal squad since the north London club’s defeat to Southampton on new year’s day back in 2015 when the stopper was caught smoking in the dressing room showers after the match.
Upon the arrival of Petr Cech Szczesny then moved to Roma to complete a two-year-loan deal where he ended up making 72 Serie A appearances and kept 14 clean sheets.
