Celtic fans have taken to social media to react to the news that Scott Sinclair has been dropped for Celtic’s match against Motherwell tonight.
Most are of the opinion that he has been dropped because of his recent run of poor form, and not because of the controversial penalty he won in the Betfred Cup Final on Sunday.
Sinclair has scored 12 goals this season, but at times he has looked a shadow of the player who was deservedly named Scottish Player of the Year last season.
He has been particularly poor in most of Celtic’s Champions League games this season, with the win in Anderlecht the only game he has shone in.
Sinclair has been replaced by Patrick Roberts, with Celtic’s only other change from Sunday Leigh Griffiths replacing the injured Moussa Dembele up-front.

Great team. Three games in a week for Jozo shows that Rodgers doesn’t rate the other defenders. Roberts should be excellent and desperate to impress as Sinclair has been poor. Turn up please because it’s going to be baltic. https://t.co/fH2O8iTmum

Think Sinclair had to be dropped. Despite chipping in with plenty of goals this season, his overall performances haven't hit the heights of last season and he's been posted missing too often.
Hopefully it isn't complacency and this drives him on to get back to his best ????

How is Armstrong not getting dropped/slated for his performances but Sinclair is? both should’ve been dropped tbh

Hasn’t turned up since the last few games of last season tbh

Celtic go into tonight’s match only three points ahead of Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, although they do have a game in hand.
After tonight’s game Celtic take on Motherwell again, and for the third time in a week, at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
