Cardoso delivers message to Rangers fans after win v Aberdeen

Rangers centre-back Fabio Cardoso has taken to social media to salute his teammates following their 2-1 win over Aberdeen today.

The Gers played with ten men for more than half an hour but managed to hold on to defeat the Dons for the second time in a week, in the process overtaking them into second place in the Scottish Premiership table.

Cardoso, on his official Twitter account after the game, celebrated not only his return to the side after injury also the performance of Rangers today.

“It’s good to be back!!!! Amazing performance by the lads” was his verdict on today’s game.

Cardoso hasn’t featured for Rangers since suffering a broken nose against Motherwell, but he made his return as a half-time replacement for the concussed Danny Wilson.

Cardoso and David Bates were the unlikely duo at the heart of Rangers central defence as the 10 men Rangers held on for victory.

Graeme Murty took charge of Rangers today for what is rumoured to be the final time today, with reports claiming that Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes will be named the next permanent Rangers boss sometime this week.

The Gers have a busy schedule this month, including a trip to play fourth placed Hibs on the 13th of December and a Glasgow derby at Celtic Park in the last game before the winter break on the 30th of December.
