The England international was at Arsenal for 12 years, yet reveals he is excited to get his Everton career started.

“I’m dead excited and I just want to do what I do best which is playing football and expressing myself because I’m excited again, I really am,
“The fact there’s a new stadium going to be developing in the next few years, it’s exciting times for Everton Football Club.”
The former Arsenal attacker has joined his Everton team mates, and could play as early as this weekend as West Bromwich Albion travel to Goodison Park.
Walcott admits that it was hard to leave his beloved Arsenal, having been on the books at the Emirates for over a decade,
“It felt like it was time for me to move on (from Arsenal). It was sad but it’s exciting at the same time and I want to reignite my career and push Everton to win things as they have done before.”
The 28-year-old brings with him a winning pedigree, havening won four major honours during his stay in London, and has made it clear that winning is his ambition at Everton.
Everton’s hopes at silverware this year are done, as the Toffees were knocked out of both cup-competitions and are out of reach for the Premier League – but it is encouraging that the winger is looking to the future.
