Celtic player ratings v Brechin: Defender 5/10 in routine win

COMMENT
Celtic returned to action following the winter break with a routine 5-0 victory over Brechin in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.
Manager Brendan Rodgers elected to play his strong available side, with arguably only Odsonne Edouard not a first-team pick of those chosen.
The Bhoys took the lead after only two minutes, James Forrest finishing off a 21 pass move for his 13th goal of the season. Nine minutes later it was 2-0 as Scott Sinclair scored his 16th goal of the season and the game was over as a meaningful contest.
Despite lots of pressure there were no further goals until the second-half, when headers from Olivier Ntcham ad Dedryck Boyata made it 4-0.
A late Edouard strike completed the scoring.
Rodgers will be satisfied enough with the win, although he will now that tougher tests lie ahead beginning with Tuesday’s game against Partick Thistle.
