22-year-old axed in Monk 4-2-3-1: Leeds best possible XI to face Huddersfield

COMMENT By Harvey Byrne

Hadi Sacko must be axed by Garry Monk ahead of Leeds’ vital fixture against Huddersfield on Sunday.

The Yorkshire giants are currently preparing to make the short trip to face the Terriers at the Kirklees Stadium in a match which will see fourth take on fifth.

It is a match that Leeds simply must win with two points currently separating the pair and Sacko should be one of two changes from the line-up against Blackburn.

The second axing should be for his wing partner Stuart Dallas, who scored on Wednesday, but struggled to do much else in a mixed display.

Monk brought in wingmen Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow on deadline-day and they must start in the attack with their devastating pace having potential to cause problems against Huddersfield.

Goalkeeper Rob Green is guaranteed to keep his place in goal with injury or suspension the only thing which would see him left out in the league.

He will however need protection of an unchanged back four, which will be without star Charlie Taylor once again.

David Wagner’s side boasts an array of attacking options for the English second tier and the Leeds back four will need to be on top of their games.

They will be given assistance by midfield duo Eunan O’Kane and Liam Bridcutt with the pair aiding the defence while also keeping possession for their team to feed the attacks.

Kemar Roofe should keep his place in the the centre of the attacking midfield three despite the performance from the bench from attacking midfielder Pablo Hernandez in midweek.

The Spaniard tires easily, while Roofe has more energy and will be more threatening when the ball is in play than the experienced man.

The attack will also contain top scorer Chris Wood, who will be keen to add to his already impressive goal tally and give his side all three points.

In other Leeds team news, Monk has confirmed that these two players will be available to face the Terriers.
