Holt: This is the only positive Rangers can take from loss v Celtic
By Matt Bullin
Rangers midfielder Jason Holt has claimed the only positive the Gers can take from losing to Celtic last time out, is that they have an opportunity to rectify their mistakes this weekend.
The Bhoys beat Rangers 2-0 last weekend, as they advanced into the final of the Scottish Cup, however there is another chance for the Gers this weekend as the sides meet at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair both netted for Celtic last time out, while Holt played the full 90 minutes in midfield for the Gers.
Holt has been employed in a deeper midfield role than he previously played since Pedro Caixinha’s arrival and he has reaped the rewards of playing in his new role.
Speaking on the official Rangers website, the 24-year-old spoke of his sides previous tie against Celtic, as well as the upcoming match.

He said: “The only real positive is we have the game against them so quickly after losing to them. It gives us a chance to go and do the right things and put it right.
“We are desperate to do that. There are many things we need to do better and things we have worked on this week. We’ll try to put them into the game.”
Holt has been a mainstay in the Gers’ midfield this term and has featured 34 times in all competitions, scoring once and assisting twice.
The match on Saturday will be the sixth Old Firm derby of the season, the Hoops have won four of the five ties so far, and there has been one draw.
