25-year-old axed in Koeman 4-3-3: Everton best possible XI v Sunderland
COMMENT By Dominic Toner
Everton should make one change to their starting XI against Sunderland and drop defender Ramiro Funes Mori.
The Toffees host Sunderland on Saturday in the Premier League and manager Ronald Koeman should make one alteration to his side following the goalless draw at Middlesbrough in their last match.
Funes Mori, 27, should come out of the starting line-up and be replaced by emerging youngster Mason Holgate.
The Argentinian centre-back has looked nervous all season and is a liability in defence, while Holgate deserves a chance to cement his position in the side.
Everton are currently seventh-placed in the league table and will move four points behind Manchester United in sixth with a victory, with Jose Mourinho’s side playing in the EFL Cup final match against Southampton at the weekend.

Familiar faces Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines should continue in the full-back position, while a centre-back partnership of Holgate and Ashley Williams has the potential to be very strong.
Everton’s strongest midfield combination is certainly Morgan Schneiderlin, Idrissa Gueye and Tom Davies, with the trio providing a great balance to the side.
Ross Barkley and Ademola Lookman should continue in the attacking positions, providing support for talisman striker Romelu Lukaku.
