Forrest to feel pressure
Celtic attacker James Forrest could be under some pressure at the weekend if starts against Dundee and that could impact his game. The 25-year-old is a valued member of the squad, but the competition for places this season is fierce. Patrick Roberts and Leigh Griffiths are desperately pushing for starting roles, meaning Forrest is always under pressure to deliver a strong performance. The winger managed to grab an assist in the draw against Rangers, but emerging youngster Roberts has similar stats to Forrest this season. The Bhoys are set to face a tough battle to unlock the Dundee back line and Forrest will need a strong performance to remain on the pitch for the duration.
Dembele to score
Celtic’s striker Moussa Dembele is surely set to get back in the goals at the weekend after misfiring against Rangers. The 20-year-old has been a goal machine during his first season in Scottish football and the Dundee defence will fear facing the talented youngster. He has scored 32 goals in just 45 appearances this campaign and has been on fire recently. The Frenchman has netted 12 times in his last seven appearances and is improving as the season goes on. Dembele has shown his desire to score in the big games and it would be no surprise if he scores the winning goal to clinch the title, whether it be against Dundee or a later date.
Armstrong to impress again
Celtic ace Stuart Armstrong has been the player to benefit most from Rodgers’ arrival in the summer and has thrived as a central attacking midfielder. The 24-year-old has been a crucial component of the club’s success this season and a very influential player. He scored a critical goal in the Rangers draw and has been in great touch in front of goal. Armstrong has made 36 appearances this campaign so far, scoring 11 goals and supplying seven assists. The Scotsman has recently been called up to the senior national team and is in the form of his career. Armstrong can be expected to dominate the midfield against Dundee and be very dangerous going forward.
In other Celtic news, the club’s 20-year-old has hinted at a summer exit.
