Celtic eventually won their way into the Scottish Cup semi-final with a hard-fought 3-0 win over Morton in the quarter-final at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers made one change from the side which defeated Aberdeen 2-0 but it was a big one, with Marvin Compper making his long-awaited debut, replacing Mikael Lustig.
The first-half saw the Bhoys get frustrated as they found Morton’s packed defence difficult to breach, although Tom Rogic did come close on a few occasions.
With the game scoreless at half-time, Rodgers replaced the ineffective Scott Sinclair with Odsonne Edouard, who immediately missed two very good chances.
The Hoops made the breakthrough in the 62nd minute, Dembele heading home James Forrest’s cross. The same player made it 2-0 nine minutes later, scoring from the penalty spot after Edouard had been fouled.
Edouard got a deserved goal and completed the scoring in the 90th minute. The draw for the semi-final is made after the Rangers versus Falkirk match on Sunday.
