James Forrest delivers verdict on Celtic win against Aberdeen

Celtic winger James Forrest has hailed the impact of the Hoops’ 2-0 victory over Aberdeen on Sunday.
The Bhoys managed to recover from the sending-off of Mikael Lustig to ease to victory thanks to goals from Moussa Dembele and James Forrest.
The victory maintained the Bhoys’ nine point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and Foorrest, whose pinpoint cross set up Dembele’s goal, was pleased to see the Hoops make up for their poor performance against Zenit in the Europa League.
“It was an important three points after Thursday night. It was a statement to go up there and score a few goals and keep a clean sheet. Good performance all round,” the 26-year-old said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

Forrest has been a mainstay of the Hoops side this season, making 46 appearances and scoring 16 goals in what has been his most consistent season ever in a green and white hooped shirt.
His 16 goals are his best ever return for a season, and put him only one goal behind top scorer Scott Sinclair.
Forrest and his team-mates will be looking to maintain the distances between themselves and Rangers, when they return to league action against Dundee on Wednesday night.
Following that match the Bhoys will then turn their attention to their quest for an unprecedented second consecutive domestic treble, when they take on Championship side Morton in the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup.
