‘A wild take’ – Rangers fans can’t believe Scott Brown’s prediction for Celtic showdown

Rangers fans have demolished Celtic hero Scott Brown for his “wild” prediction on the upcoming Old Firm showdown.

The former Hoops captain was confident that Brendan Rodgers’ outfit would collect all three points when they face the Gers at Parkhead on Saturday (30 December).

Brown noted that he was excited by the fixture after Celtic managed to keep two clean sheets in their last two games following back-to-back defeats in the league.

After losses to Kilmarnock and Hearts, Celtic have well and truly bounced back with successive wins over Livingston and their recent 3-0 away win against Dundee on Tuesday (26 December).

The former Fleetwood Town boss was also very eager for centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, who was withdrawn through injury against the Dee, to be fit for the Hoops due to his difference-making defensive qualities.

Rangers faced a 1-0 defeat at Ibrox in the first Old Firm game of the season with Kyogo Furuhashi’s second-half effort the difference maker in the 1-0 loss.

However, a new-look Gers under the management of the undefeated Philippe Clement offers a completely different prospect for Celtic.

A win for Rangers, who have two games in hand on the league leaders, would put them in the driving seat for the league title with Celtic five points ahead of them.

But Brown’s prediction has not gone down well with the Ibrox faithful, who have taken to social media to bash the “buffoon”.
