Aaron Ramsdale and Arsenal teammate given ‘dose of the video’ after Sky reveal – pundit

Kevin Campbell suspects Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale were given “a does of the video” at Arsenal last week.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker claimed the duo “livened themselves up” after being culpable for Moussa Sissoko’s goal at Watford (6 March).

Ramsdale and White shone on Sunday as the Gunners strengthened their top-four bid with a 2-0 win over Leicester City at the Emirates.

Speaking to Sky Sports (13 March), Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers lauded Ramsdale for his performance and claimed he is the “best English goalkeeper” right now.

When asked if there was a stark improvement from Arsenal’s defence on Sunday, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs:

“Arsenal were cruising at 3-1 and the final score flattered Watford in all honesty.

“Ben White and Ramsdale didn’t defend the [Moussa] Sissoko goal properly. They need to be tighter than that and that is why Mikel Arteta was not happy.

“Arteta knows there is tougher games coming up where they all need to be at the top of their games. We saw that against Leicester.

“They got a dose of the video last week, I’m sure because they livened themselves up.”

Arsenal

Speaking to Football.London after the win at Watford, Arteta said: “We scored three magnificent goals but we didn’t have the same energy and commitment defensively.

“That’s why we suffered – because defensively we didn’t have the right structure.”
