Aaron Ramsdale: Arsenal to accept late offer – sources
Arsenal are looking to sell Aaron Ramsdale on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that it’s “unrealistic” that the Gunners will be able to get a permanent deal for the goalkeeper this summer.
The Premier League giants are demanding £40million for the England international, which teams aren’t looking to pay in this window.
Even a loan deal won’t come cheap for other clubs because of Ramsdale’s wages and the hefty loan fee that it will cost.
Wolves and Bournemouth are monitoring the goalkeeper, but his wages could be a stumbling block on a potential deal.
Arsenal are aiming to cut their losses with Aaron Ramsdale
Sources have claimed that Ramsdale has grown tired of sitting on the bench at the Emirates Stadium after falling down the pecking order.
Mikel Arteta signed David Raya on loan last year and has since made it a permanent transfer as he established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper.
Ramsdale made only 11 appearances last season for the Gunners, with six of those taking place in the Premier League.

Another player who is expected to be leaving the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window shuts is Eddie Nketiah.
