'Aaron Ramsey & Jack Clarke both training at Villa' - Exclusive: Hutton drops training HQ reveal

Alan Hutton insists that Aston Villa youngsters Aaron Ramsey and Jack Clarke are two “really exciting” players that fans should watch out for in the near future.

The former Villa and Scotland ace, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has lifted the lid on the pair of starlets after training alongside them last season.

The Birmingham Mail report that Ramsey and Clarke, as well as Tyriek Wright and Louie Barry, have been training with the senior side as the Premier League gets back underway.

Having seen what Ramsey, 17, and Clarke, 21, have to offer in person, Hutton insists that fans should be getting excited about the pair.

Asked what he knew about the up and coming talents at Bodymoor Heath, Hutton told Football Insider: “Aaron Ramsey and Jack Clarke, they were training when I was there.

“These are really exciting young players, these are people that have always had big potentials, you can tell they’re boys that don’t show any fear coming and training with the first team and I think you have to be like that.

“You have to really believe in yourself. I’d imagine the fans are excited to see these young, talented players coming through.”

Ramsey, an attacking midfielder, has been a regular for the Villans’ under-18 side this season and broke into the under-23s shortly before the lockdown.

Central midfielder Clarke meanwhile has been a mainstay for the reserves but is yet to feature in a matchday squad.

In other Aston Villa news, Alex Bruce has been left raving over a “Rolls Royce” of a Villans star.
