Aaron Ramsey slammed as Rangers replacement already at Ibrox - pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Rangers will not even think about bringing Aaron Ramsey back to Ibrox next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Ramsey has “lost a yard of place” and Rangers already have a ready-made replacement at the club.
The 31-year-old wrote on Instagram his time at Ibrox has been “incredible” as his loan spell from Juventus comes to an end.
He did not make it off the bench as the Gers beat Hearts 2-0 after extra time in Saturday’s (21 May) Scottish Cup final.
Ramsey will most likely be remembered for missing the decisive penalty in Rangers’ shoot out lost to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final last week (18 May).
Asked for his verdict on the Wales international’s future, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I wouldn’t have him back, to be honest.

“He hasn’t really done anything for Rangers and you can see why Juventus let him go. It looks like he’s lost a yard of pace, he’s injury prone.
“I just don’t see it as something Rangers will even look at to be honest. They’ll think ‘Ok, we tried it, it didn’t work’.
“They’ve got better players who can play in that position, to be honest.”
Ramsey still has a year left to run on his Juventus contract but it is unlikely he has a future in Turin.
He made just five appearances for the club in the first half of the season before moving to Ibrox in January.
