Football Insider provides on-the-ground, expert coverage of British football, with a primary focus on the Premier League, Championship, and the Scottish Premiership. Since 2015, we have bridged the gap between national sports news and the local fan’s perspective through our network of dedicated correspondents based in major football hubs including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Glasgow.
Our editorial headquarters are located in Richmond, London, but our reporting is driven by specialists embedded in the communities they cover. This regional expertise allows Football Insider to deliver exclusive breaking news, deep-dive transfer analysis, and financial insights that traditional national outlets miss.
While our digital headquarters are based in Richmond, London, Football Insider operates as a modern, distributed newsroom. We maintain dedicated Regional Editorial Hubs in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Newcastle. This allows our correspondents to be physically present at stadiums, training grounds, and press conferences, bridging the gap between national scale and local ‘on-the-ground’ insight.
We are able to focus on the clubs our readers care about. This includes Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Fulham, West Ham and Crystal Palace in London, Liverpool, Everton, Man United, Leeds United, Man City and Burnley in the north, Sunderland, Newcastle United and Middlesbrough in the north-east, and Aston Villa, Wolves, West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City in the west and east Midlands. We also provide strong coverage of the Scottish top flight, especially Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers.
Unlike general sports outlets, 100% of our content is dedicated exclusively to British clubs and players, providing the depth that only a specialist outlet can offer.
A football site that is on the NewsNow and Google News networks of trusted websites, our content is written and edited by professional journalists with the aim of bringing you the latest news and the best comment and analysis on the stories that matter.

Impartial, authoritative and credible, we provide top quality original content, including exclusive stories involving Britain’s biggest clubs and players, and great insight from our stable of brilliant pundits led by former PGMOL chief and Fifa official Keith Hackett and ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness.
What makes us different in this crowded marketplace? We have excellent contacts in the football industry, which means you will find the news first here, including the really big stories. We will set the agenda, break stories, provide insight and tell you something that maybe you didn’t know. We will also tell you the story behind the story.
In short, we strive to provide original football journalism that you want to read and that will give you a proper understanding about what is happening in the sport that you love and about issues that you care about.
To show why you can trust us, we have created a section of our site that chronicles stories we have exclusively broken, or been on top of, long before they were extensively trailed in the established media or officially confirmed. You can find this section here.
We share all of our content for free with millions of football fans through our portfolio of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels which you can find here:
