‘Absolute fraud’ – Derby County fans roast ‘League Two standard’ player after West Brom draw
Derby County were unable to rise into the playoffs on Friday as they were held to a late 1-1 draw with West Brom.
The Rams looked on track to continue their fine form when Patrick Agyemang put the hosts ahead in the first half.
However, the visitors would equalise in the 95th minute thanks to Chris Mepham, reducing pressure on West Brom manager Eric Ramsay.
The result was no doubt a poor one for the Rams, with John Eustace’s side expected to beat the out-of-form Baggies, who had lost their past 10 games on the road.
As a result, Derby fans have now turned on Rhian Brewster, who put in a less-than-impressive display at Pride Park Stadium.
Derby County fans fume at Rhian Brewster’s performance vs West Brom
With Derby County on the hunt for promotion, the draw against West Brom is no doubt two points dropped.
However, while many players were poor for the hosts, the Rams were far from impressed with Brewster.
Brewster joined Derby in the summer after being released by Sheffield United.
Yet, since his move, he has not set the world alight, and has only produced three goal contributions in 19 Championship matches this season.
As a result, after the West Brom draw, many Derby fans took to X to criticise his display, insisting that he continues to offer nothing to the side.
Brewster has done nothing since joining the club – absolute passenger week in week out

Many supporters believe that his position on the left wing is also hurting his performances, and Eustace should look to play him elsewhere.
Extremely poor signing and doesn’t look 1 bit interested.

Just don’t think he belongs on the wing. Needs to be through the middle

Rhian Brewster should never play on the wing ever again btw.

Was unbelievably wasted, you need him centrally and Agyemang off the left.
Neither of them really ever got into the game properly last night imo. #dcfc #dcfcfans
How bad was Brewster vs West Brom?
While many players for poor for the Rams, Fotmob on 24 January does not believe that Brewster was the worst player on the pitch for the hosts.
The attacker completed 70 per cent of his passes, had a 100 per cent dribble success rate and made four recoveries.
However, Brewster also failed to have a single shot, create one chance or even have a touch inside the opposition’s box.
| Rhian Brewster’s stats vs West Brom | |
| Minutes | 62 |
| Shots | 0 |
| Chances created | 0 |
| Touches in opposition box | 0 |
| Passing completion rate | 70% |
| Dribble success rate | 100% |
| Recoveries | 4 |
With players such as Agyemang being linked away from Derby in recent weeks, Eustace will be looking towards Brewster to step up.
If he can’t do this, the Rams’ promotion ambitions may already be over.
