'Tragic' – BBC pundit destroys Everton and rips into 'dinosaur' frontrunner for manager role
BBC pundit Jimmy Bullard has slammed the Toffees for considering Martin O’Neill for the Everton manager’s role, labeling him just “another dinosaur.”
In his predictions for Bet Bright, the retired midfielder didn’t pull any punches, calling Everton “tragic” and stating that the “wheels have completely fallen off” at the club, before commenting on their rumoured new manager.
“I’ve heard whispers of Martin O’Neill coming in,” shared Bullard before passionately adding, “another dinosaur who’s been on the merry-go-round for too long – I reckon they’ve all got the same agent!”
The former Fulham and Hull City midfielder continued condemning the Toffees’ potential choice of manager further, “it’s an absolute liberty with all the fresh talent that’s out there – frankly it’s a joke.”
The current Republic of Ireland manager is the third favourite for the Everton manager’s job, priced at 10/1 with SkyBet, with Sam Allardyce and Paulo Fonseca ahead of him in the betting.
O’Neill hasn’t managed a domestic club since leaving Sunderland in 2013, but before that achieved great success with Celtic, Leicester City and Aston Villa.

On a more positive note, despite slamming the club, Bullard predicted a draw for Wednesday night’s game against the Hammers.
The Hammers sit just inside the relegation zone with 10 points, two points behind the Toffees ahead of their meeting at Goodison Park.
Last season, Everton won 2-0 in their league meeting with West Ham at Goodison Park, with Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley grabbing the goals.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have been in talks with two more managers and a decision is now expected on Tuesday.
