Celtic fans have reacted with delight after Chris Sutton poked fun at Rangers fans on social media.
Sutton tweeted a reminder of a goal he scored against the Hoops bitter rivals 13 years ago today, which completed the Hoops’ first league clean sweep of victories over the Ibrox side.
“Even Rangers fans would appreciate the quality of this chip for the green and whitewash I’m sure” he said, on his personal Twitter account.

Sutton’s goal in injury time gave the Hoops a 1-0 win, and one fan claimed that he celebrated the goal so much that he thought he had broken his leg.
Here are some of the best reactions from fans on Twitter to Sutton’s tweet:

It was wonderful Chris, I was right in line with you and as soon as I saw that you had completely mis-hit it, I knew it was a goal 👍

They were ecstatic they were getting the draw until you scored.
The way you brushed off DeBoer was excellent too.

Interestingly enough, Sutton played as a defender for the Hoops in the first game of the ‘green and whitewash’, as his performance at centre-back was heroic as the Bhoys came away with a 1-0 win at Ibrox.
The four wins for the Hoops over their bitter rivals in the league have proved to be an anomaly, as even now, when they are dominating the Gers, they haven’t been able to win all the league matches between the sides, as there have been draws in each of the last two season, which shows that it was a terrific achievement by Martin O’Neill’s side.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops should rest Kieran Tierney until the Scottish Cup Final
