Adam Idah sends message to Celtic fans after Rangers drop 13 points adrift

Celtic forward Adam Idah took to social media to celebrate “Another top night at home” after their 6-0 Scottish Premier League win over Dundee FC on Wednesday (February 5).

The 23-year-old scored Celtic’s second goal just before half-time as Brendan Rodgers’ side extended their lead over Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premier League to 13 points.

Record signing Arne Engels opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 18th minute before Idah got in on the act to double their lead.

Daizen Maeda scored a brace in the span of four minutes, the first being a diving header and the second a cheeky lob over Trevor Carson in the Dundee goal.

Engels got his second before Nicolas Kuhn rounded off the scoring in the 81st minute as Celtic took a big step towards a fourth consecutive league title.

Celtic are pulling away both on and off the pitch, and are set to blow Rangers out of the water in terms of European prize money this season after qualifying for the Champions League knockout round play-offs.

Adam Idah finding some form as Celtic pull away at the top of the Scottish Premier League table

The striker is starting to find his feet at Celtic after making his move permanent in the summer, starting 15 of his 36 games across all competitions, scoring 12 goals, and providing one assist in his 1498 minutes of action.

One Sky Sports pundit believes Arsenal should take a look at Idah as a potential alternative to Ollie Watkins due to his impressive recent form.

Idah took to Instagram to celebrate Celtic’s comprehensive win over Dundee FC, simply saying: “Another top night at home.”

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aberdeen chief Keith Wyness believed Rodgers is unhappy with Celtic’s January business and has already put his plans for the summer to the board.

Celtic were able to re-sign Jota and bring Jeffrey Schlupp in on loan from Crystal Palace, a move that caught the attention of Man City ace Jack Grealish.
