Adam Lallana admits injuries have stagnated his Liverpool career

Adam Lallana has admitted that fitness issues have stagnated his Liverpool career.
But the England star is confident his form will be far more consistent if he can avoid injuries for an extended period.
The England star moved to Anfield from Southampton for £25million in 2014, but has struggled to justify the price tag.
Lallana expressed his own anger at his body failing him but has outlined his focus is on remaining fit.
“Last year was frustrating, even the beginning of this season it was frustrating – picking up yet again another injury,” he said.
“I am working really hard to keep fit because I feel if I stay fit, then the club will see the best of me.”
But the attacking midfielder, who performed impressively for England in their 2-0 win over Estonia on Friday, is well aware that he is running out of time to nail down a regular spot at Liverpool.
“I am not that young anymore, I am 27 – there’s a few more younger pups at the club than me. It is a big season (for me).”
The former Southampton captain also expressed his eagerness to return to Liverpool to work with new manager Jurgen Klopp.
“I am excited to work, very excited, to work with the new manager.
“I saw the press conference and, like everyone there and the reaction he is getting, it is going to be exciting”.
