Agbonlahor backs West Brom for instant Premier League return after Dowling reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted West Brom will be favourites to win promotion from the Championship next season with Chris Wilder in charge.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted Wilder has the pedigree and experience to make him the perfect man to lead Albion.
Football Insider understands the former Sheffield United boss is the leading contender to replace Sam Allardyce.

The 53-year-old actually held talks with sporting director Luke Dowling about taking over at the Hawthorns in 2019 before Slaven Bilic was appointed and a source has told Football Insider he has reignited contact.
The Croatian led the club to the Premier League but was sacked in December last year and replaced with Allardyce.
His efforts were not enough to stop the Baggies from suffering relegation and it was announced last week he will not be in charge of the club in the Championship.
Asked whether Wilder would be a good replacement for West Brom, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “100 per cent.
“He’s the right sort of manager for West Brom.
“They’ve got a good squad of players and, for me, would be favourites to come back up.
“Him going in there, he’s got the pedigree, he’s got the experience, he’s been there and done it.
“Yes, it would be a great appointment for West Brom. They should try and get that over the line.”

Wilder has been out of work since leaving his boyhood club in March with the Blades bottom of the Premier League.
He spent almost five years at the helm and guided them from League One to the top-flight.
In other news, West Brom star could sign for Leeds United in a stunning part-exchange deal.
