Agbonlahor can’t believe what he’s ‘heard’ about Kilman at Wolves
Gabby Agbonlahor was stunned to learn Wolves signed Max Kilman from non-league club Maidenhead United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Kilman has been “outstanding” in recent weeks and looks at home in the Premier League.
The defender has not missed a minute of Premier League action this season and scored his first Wolves goal against Everton.
He opened the scoring at Molineux as Bruno Lage’s side beat Everton 2-1 on Monday night.
Kilman moved to the Midlands club from National League side Maidenhead on deadline day in the summer of 2018.
The 24-year-old has now played 44 times across all competitions for Wolves, including 32 appearances in the Premier League.
“I heard during the Everton game that he came from non-league and I wouldn’t have been able to tell,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“The way I’ve been watching him, he just looks like a defender that has come through the Wolves academy and come straight into that side.
“I wouldn’t have thought he had come from non-league because he has been outstanding. A no-nonsense defender, a threat from set-pieces, good with the ball as well.
“He’s keeping a good defender in Willy Boly out of the team too.”

As well as his non-league experience, Kilman has 25 caps for England’s futsal team after making his debut as an 18-year-old.
Andriy Shevchenko wanted him to play for Ukraine earlier this year but Fifa did not allow him to switch his allegiances because of his futsal caps.
