Agbonlahor: El Ghazi tipped to dazzle at Aston Villa after Smith U-turn
Anwar El Ghazi will get even better at Aston Villa if he is given a continued run in the starting XI, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer heaped praise on the 26-year-old for his directness and his love of shooting.
He scored his eighth goal of the season with a fantastic outside of the box finish in Villa’s 2-1 win over Everton last weekend.
“It was a great finish,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“When he cut in, when you catch those right, they’re sweet and the keeper has got no chance. It was just set up perfectly for him, touch inside, right connection and the right height.

“El Ghazi what he offers more than Bertrand Traore is those sort of finishes. That’s what I like about him.
“In recent games and that spell around Christmas as well, he likes to get the ball and go for goal. He likes to take shots, he likes to take people on.
“Sometimes he might have not the best game but he always tries his best to take people on.
“The more games he plays then the better he can become. So, it’s great news he’s staying.
“The only problem is when Grealish’s available, that left side isn’t available for him. That’s the only problem for him because he’s not the same player on the right.
“But now he’s had the chance on the left, he’s played very well.”
