Agbonlahor: 'Humiliated' Rodrigo will demand clear-the-air talks with Bielsa at Leeds
Leeds United star Rodrigo Moreno will be demanding an explanation from Marcelo Bielsa for why he was substituted in their 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Saturday.
That is the view of former Aston Villa and England striker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Spaniard was replaced an hour after being introduced from the bench himself.
Rodrigo replaced the injured Patrick Bamford after 35 minutes at Elland Road before being taken off in favour of Mateusz Klich late on in the second half.
It is the second time this season Leeds’ club-record signing has been substituted after coming on – the other occasion was against Sheffield United at the beginning of the campaign.
Bielsa told the Yorkshire Post after the Chelse game: “He has been without playing for a long time and it is natural that it cost him a little bit in adapting to the rhythm.”
Rodrigo has not started a game since January after suffering a groin injury against Leicester City.

However, Agbonlahor has claimed he will still be demanding an explanation from his manager.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “You saw his reaction when he got brought off, it was very humiliating.
“I would be knocking on the manager’s door if that had happened to me.
“It’s so frustrating and so annoying.
“I’m sure he’ll be very unhappy about that and will want to see the manager for sure.”
Rodrigo has had a stop-start career at Elland Road since his summer switch from La Liga giants Valencia.
After taking time to adapt to Bielsa’s methods, he suffered from covid and has started just 12 Premier League games this term.
